St Gregory's Abbey
Founded in 1876, St. Gregory's Abbey is a Roman Catholic community of Benedictine monks. Features of the Abbey and its beautifully kept grounds & labyrinth, the Monks' Marketplace, and conference center.

Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art
Founded in 1919, the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art was founded by Father Gregory Gerrer, a Benedictine monk of considerable artistic talent. During Father Gerrer's travels to Europe, Africa and South America, he collected objects of artistic and ethnological value.
The museum's permanent exhibitions include Egyptian, Greek and Roman objects; art from the Renaissance through the early 20th century; and large holdings of Native American, African, pre-Columbian, and Eastern cultural artifacts. In addition, the museum offers exciting special exhibitions throughout the year.

National Arboretum II at Oklahoma Baptist University
On the campus of our local liberal arts university, OBU, sits Oklahoma's only Nationally Accredited Arboretum. All arboretum trees are mulched, tagged, and have dedicated irrigation. There are over 300 trees & shrubs on more than 220 acres, representing 134 different species, including a seedling from the OKC Bombing's Survivor Tree.

Shawnee's Twin Lakes Reservoir
Lake 1 covers a surface area of 1,336 acres and has 16 miles of shoreline. Lake 2 is a surface area of 1,100 acres and 9 miles of shoreline. The lakes are connected by a 10-foot-deep canal constructed in 1962. Isaac Walton Park has a pavilion, 15 camp sites, 8 picnic areas with grills, swimming, restrooms, lighting, and parking. Glen Collins Park is located between the two dams with a pavilion, picnic areas with grills, swimming, restrooms, lighting and parking.

The new KidSpace Park is now open! One of Oklahoma's top 5 largest premier parks, this playground for all ages includes playgrounds for kids from 2 - 100, including a walking trail, timed 40 meter dash and ninja course, with play structures for littles, middles, and big kids.
